Hanuman is a form of Shiva. Hanuman is very devoted to Rama. He is just pure love. He says, “All of these mantras, I don’t need them. All I need is Ram.” ShivaRam – you can’t have Shiva without Rama. You can’t have Hanuman without Rama. The purity of that love, that devotion, is exquisite.
When a person visits Hanuman, it is good to do your Hanuman mantra and pradakshina. However, Hanuman lights up when you praise Rama in front of the murthi. This is so beautiful.
Shiva manifested in the form of Hanuman to express in full value his love for Rama. It is all devotion, all love, all commitment, all dedication. Look what he did. He picked up a mountain and carried it… anything… his life was for Rama. ShivaRam is such a beautiful thing.
Vishnu and Hanuman
Rama is more of a householder or worldly manifestation of Vishnu. In fact, really, a complete incarnation of Vishnu, the full value of Vishnu, includes not just Rama, but also Sita (Rama’s wife), Lakshmana (Rama’s brother), and his devotee Hanuman (Shiva).
Hanuman and Saturn
Saturn deeply respects Hanuman. Hanuman is completely devoted to Rama, and Lord Rama is dharma in its perfect form. So in his devotion to Lord Rama, Hanuman has no karma. That is to say that he acts in perfect harmony with nature, as if superfluid. Saturn teaches his lessons through life experience by attaching to your karma and bringing it forth. Because Hanuman has no karma, Saturn has nothing to attach to, nothing to catch him with. Devotees of Hanuman are thereby protected from Saturn, as if held under Hanuman’s wing.
